The 15th Annual Philadelphia Credit & Restructuring Summit, hosted by ABF Journal, the New York Institute of Credit, the Secured Finance Network and the Philadelphia/Wilmington chapter of the Turnaround Management Association, will take place March 21 from 11 a.m. to 6:30. p.m. ET at the Union League of Philadelphia.

Following a luncheon panel moderated by Monique B. DiSabatino, a partner at Saul Ewing, and featuring several notable retired bankruptcy court judges, Paul Shur, a shareholder at Becker & Poliakoff, will lead the lender’s panel, which will examine how different lenders see transactions differently. The panelists for the panel will include:

  • Kenneth Geiger, Senior Vice President and General Counsel, Peapack-Gladstone Bank
  • Brian F. Gleason, Senior Managing Director, Phoenix Management Services, a part of JS Held
  • Randi M. Hershgordon, Senior Vice President, Gibraltar Business Capital
  • Paul D. Schuldiner, Executive Vice President and Chief Lending Officer, Rosenthal & Rosenthal

Shur spoke with ABF Journal for a short Q&A to provide a small preview of the panel and what attendees can expect.

What will be the focus of the lenders’ panel you are moderating at the event?

Shur: The panel will discuss a hypothetical loan transaction in a workout (based on an actual transaction) with detailed financial information, which will be analyzed and debated by a turnaround professional and three different lender representatives.

Who can benefit the most from attending this panel

Shur: Lenders, turnaround professionals and bankruptcy professionals will benefit from hearing about a current transaction and learning how the marketplace and current economic conditions affected the outcome.

What do you hope attendees will gain from the panel?

Shur: Attendees will learn about what other professionals do and think. Based upon my prior panels at these events, I often see discussion and referrals of business to and from panelists and attendees.

In addition to the lender’s panel, the conference will feature several other educational panels, as well as networking breaks and a cocktail reception to conclude the day. For more information and to register, click here.
