“I wish I had known that confidence follows action, not the other way around. That lesson has shaped how I lead today. I encourage people to take on challenges, ask questions and trust that growth comes from experience, not perfection.”
Angela Fiorentino’s career path reflects versatility, resilience and a commitment to creative problem solving in specialty finance. She began her professional journey in the securities industry and investment banking while completing her accounting degree at night. Seeking a more direct role in helping businesses resolve complex challenges, she earned her law degree and practiced commercial litigation and creditors’ rights before joining AmeriFactors in 2017 as general counsel, where she established the company’s legal department.
A defining turning point occurred when Fiorentino was appointed CEO on short notice, stepping up from general counsel to lead the entire organization. Embracing the sudden transition, she prioritized listening, asking thoughtful questions and leaning on experienced industry mentors while trusting her management team. This pivotal experience reinforced her belief that effective leadership is not about having every answer, but about surrounding oneself with talented people and making thoughtful, well-reasoned decisions.
Under her leadership as CEO, president and general counsel, AmeriFactors specializes in tackling nontraditional transactions that require inventive structuring, including turnarounds, construction and bankruptcy situations. Whether assisting expanding manufacturers or stabilizing struggling businesses, Fiorentino measures success by the tangible impact that access to capital has on clients. What sets her apart is a leadership style grounded in empathy, accountability and authenticity. She recognizes that confidence follows action rather than precedes it, a core insight that shapes how she mentors rising professionals. By fostering an inclusive culture where team members feel empowered to challenge assumptions, ask questions and grow, Fiorentino continues to drive organizational strength while advancing women in financial services.
