Each year, nearly 1,000 professionals from across the globe attend the TMA Distressed Investing Conference. Capital providers, attorneys, financial advisors and restructuring professionals come together under one roof to deepen relationships, execute transactions and generate cutting-edge insights into the state of restructuring and turnaround.

This year, TMA partnered with Second Wind Consultants / Rise Alliance to launch a new 10-part video series that captures what industry leaders are seeing in the current market, while bringing forward real-time perspectives from participants across the restructuring and distressed investing ecosystem.

The series features insightful conversations with practitioners on timely issues such as rising Chapter 11 costs, the continued expansion of merchant cash advance distress into larger and more complex businesses and the growing role of artificial intelligence in restructuring workflows and decision-making. Participants also discuss the importance of networking and business development in a shifting environment, as well as the impact of the current interest rate and tariff landscape on margin compressions, capital availability and deal structuring.

Additional discussions examine the realities of working with management teams in distress, the implications of evolving capital cycles, the increasing relevance of out-of-court restructurings,  and emerging opportunistic investing themes as market conditions continue to adjust.

Taken together, the interviews are intended to provide a grounded, practitioner-driven view of the current restructuring environment—captured in real time from one of the industry’s most active and well-attended gatherings.
