Cascadia Capital, an investment bank serving middle-market clients globally, is pleased to announce that it acted as the exclusive financial advisor to Mann Lake Bee and Ag Supply, a portfolio company of Grey Mountain Partners, on its acquisition by a private family investor group in partnership with management.

Mann Lake is the largest provider of professional-grade apiarist equipment and supplies to the commercial and hobbyist beekeeping industry. Its vision is to be the premier resource for North American beekeepers and backyard chicken farmers. The company primarily sells its full line of beekeeping and poultry products direct-to-consumer via its website, catalog, and call centers. The company offers a range of manufactured and distributed products, including hive boxes, frames, foundation, queen bees, packaged bees, and all nutritional and supplemental products necessary to maintain the health of bee colonies and maximize both pollination benefits and honey production. Additionally, it offers a line of products for hobby chicken farmers under its Stromberg’s brand. Mann Lake’s products are trusted by professional and enthusiast customers alike.

Cascadia was engaged by Mann Lake based on its extensive experience advising clients in the backyard farming sector. The firm conducted a broad and competitive sale process, ultimately identifying a new partner aligned with the company’s growth strategy.

“Mann Lake is a market leader serving enthusiast beekeepers and backyard farmers,” said James Cartales, Managing Director at Cascadia. “The company is well-positioned to benefit from the growing adoption of the backyard farming lifestyle. Its ongoing product innovation supports both consumers and professionals in maintaining healthy bee colonies and chicken coops—enhancing pollination, honey production, and sustainability. Cascadia was proud to support Mann Lake in securing a new long-term, values-aligned investment partner.”

Mann Lake’s Director of Marketing, Jenna Prososki, said, “Mann Lake was started as a family-owned business in 1983, and it’s incredibly exciting for us to return to those roots. We love bees, beekeeping, and backyard farming generally, and now have that passion not only among our employees but also within our board members and owners.”
