Ryan Wilson, a former assistant U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of New York, rejoined Lowenstein Sandler as a partner in the Capital Markets Litigation and White Collar Criminal Defense practices.
Wilson was a lead attorney in the prosecution of the world’s third-largest RMBS issuer/underwriter, resulting in a landmark settlement of more than $7 billion.
Wilson previously served as counsel with Lowenstein Sandler from 2013 until early 2016, when he joined the president’s RMBS Task Force. As part of the task force, he led a team that achieved the largest single-entity settlement resulting from financial crisis prosecutions. Wilson then acted as the lead prosecutor in a civil fraud complaint, filed in September 2017, against the company’s former head of subprime trading.
