Tribal Capital Markets, a Native American tribally-owned financial services firm, has hired Brendan Lavelle, Jerry Waldon and Jesse J. Jefferson to bolster its Capital Markets and Fixed Income Sales divisions.

Lavelle joins TCM as a managing director with decades of experience managing risk and building various fixed income trading, origination and derivatives businesses. Lavelle will lead the Business Development effort as well as firming the company’s Capital Markets presence in both Liquid Fixed Income products and Impact Related Investments.

Waldron brings many years of fixed income sales, trading, underwriting and operational expertise to the firm, having focused primarily in GSE, Supra/Sovereign and Canadian Provincial products. Waldron’s GSE scope has included trading and underwriting all segments of agency debt.

Jefferson joins as an executive director in our Los Angeles location. He has more than 30 years of experience in institutional fixed income sales, with comprehensive knowledge in the structure and sale of GSE debt and corporate credit and project finance/private placements.

“We are pleased to have these additional team members join TCM to execute our current strategy. Brendan, Jerry and Jesse will undoubtedly expand our presence in the Capital Markets space. The Morongo are proud of the continued success of the Tribal Capital Markets team and anticipate greater gains with experienced additions such as these,” said Executive Chairman Titu Asghar.

“The addition of these long tenured professionals will accelerate our penetration into the client base that we continue to seek. Expanded geographic coverage combined with their high-touch relationship approach will unquestionably expand our Capital Markets footprint,” said TCM’s Head of Trading/Sales Ian Burdette.

Prior to joining TCM, Lavelle held senior managing director positions at Morgan Stanley, Citigroup and The Bank of Nova Scotia. Waldron joins from Scotiabank, having served at Morgan Stanley and Jefferies. Jefferson previously served in institutional sales roles at Drexel Hamilton, Stephens, NBC Capital Markets, Lehman Brothers, PaineWebber and Dean Witter Reynolds.

Tribal Capital Markets is a Native American-owned boutique investment bank serving a broad array of corporate, governmental, tribal nation and institutional clients.
