Abacus Finance Group promoted Eric Petersen to director and hired Jacob Wise as an analyst.

Petersen, who joined Abacus in 2013, is involved with structuring, underwriting, executing, monitoring, and valuing investments for the firm. He previously worked as an associate in the leveraged finance group at BNP Paribas and also worked with GE Energy in corporate development. Prior to transitioning to the private sector, he spent over 14 years as a Naval Officer and an F/A-18 fighter pilot.

Wise, an analyst, joined Abacus Finance in March and works as part of the investment team structuring, underwriting and executing new investments. He also performs various portfolio monitoring and valuation tasks. Previously, he was an analyst at BMO Capital Markets in its leveraged finance group.
