Keith Herron, senior executive vice president, head of Corporate Responsibility and Community Engagement at Regions Bank, will retire following a 31-year career at the bank.

“During his more than three decades at Regions, Keith has demonstrated tremendous leadership and commitment to the values, mission and culture of our company,” said John Turner, Regions president and CEO. “Throughout his career, Keith inspired fellow bankers to keep customers first in every decision being made. He’s known throughout the company for his commitment to serving customers and making a positive difference in the communities where we work and live. I wish him well as he begins a new phase in life.”

Herron joined Regions’ Management Training Program in 1988 and has held a variety of leadership roles. He served as regional president in markets throughout Tennessee, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, and the Midwest, and also managed Strategy and Mergers & Acquisitions. Herron also had leadership roles in Corporate Banking and Risk Management. As head of Corporate Responsibility and Community Engagement, Herron currently oversees a number of enterprise functions, including Corporate Communications, the Regions Foundation, Community Affairs, Government Affairs and Economic Development, Fair and Responsible Banking, Customer Experience, and the bank’s go-to-market strategy Regions360.

“I am grateful for the career I have had at Regions and proud of the unique culture we have built on a foundation of trust, respect and integrity,” said Herron.

Herron’s retirement will be effective early January 2020.
