Matthew Wilde joined AlixPartners as a managing director. Wilde will serve clients across the Middle East region and be based in AlixPartners’ Dubai office.

Wilde has a track record in turnaround and restructuring. He was a partner with PwC for nearly 20 years before becoming an independent chief restructuring officer. He led PwC’s restructuring businesses in the Netherlands, Australia and, most recently, he spent six years leading PwC’s restructuring practice in the Middle East. He has been involved in many restructuring situations in the region, including NMC, Al Jaber Group, OW Bunker, DryDocks World and Dubai World. Wilde is a chartered accountant (ICAEW) and a qualified insolvency practitioner (JIEB).

“We are very pleased to welcome Matthew to the firm,” Simon Freakley, CEO of AlixPartners, said. “At a time when companies in the Middle East region are dealing with intense uncertainty and disruption, Matthew’s excellent local relationships and deep regional knowledge, coupled with his widely acknowledged technical skill, will be critical in helping companies dealing with today’s immediate challenges and those that may lay ahead.”

AlixPartners is a global consulting firm.
