Michael Tamasco joined Nassau Financial Group’s asset management business (Nassau Asset Management) to oversee global business development, enhance client engagement and champion expansion of the firm’s third-party asset management platform.

Prior to joining Nassau, Tamasco was managing director at Seix Advisors, a CLO and fixed income investment firm. Earlier, he served as co-head of Rothschild Asset Management and global co-head of distribution for the Rothschild Group’s traditional and alternative investment affiliates located in the U.S., the UK, France and Switzerland. He began his asset management career with Lazard Asset Management after gaining experience as a proprietary fixed-income trader.

Nassau’s asset management business oversees more than $18 billion of proprietary and third-party capital, including through investment strategies offered by the following specialty investment managers:

  • Nassau Corporate Credit invests in corporate credit and serves as a collateral manager for collateralized loan obligations.

  • Nassau Alternative Investments invests in private investment funds, co-investment opportunities and direct private investments, and serves as a collateral manager to a collateralized fund obligation.

Nassau or predecessor companies have invested in alternative investments for more than 30 years.

Nassau Financial Group, based in Hartford, CT, currently has combined assets of $26.3 billion. Its business covers four segments: insurance, reinsurance, distribution and asset management. Nassau was founded in 2015 with capital provided by Golden Gate Capital, a private investment firm with more than $15 billion of committed capital.
