Alternative credit group CIFC Asset Management added Rebecca Levy as a managing director in its investor solutions group.

In her new role, Levy will create tailored solutions for clients and develop new institutional relationships. Based in New York, Levy will report to to Jim Boothby, managing director and global co-head of business development for CIFC Asset Management.

“We are pleased to welcome Rebecca to CIFC. Her expertise in portfolio construction and expansive network of institutional relationships will prove instrumental as we continue to develop customizable offerings that meet the evolving needs of investors,” Steve Vaccaro, CEO and chief investment officer of CIFC Asset Management, said. “We have worked prudently to diversify CIFC’s credit platform and believe Rebecca will be an invaluable resource to our current clients on their investment programs, while articulating our differentiated approach to new investors globally.”

“CIFC has built a well-respected alternative investment platform across corporate, structured and opportunistic credit strategies through a solutions-oriented process and acute focus on risk,” Levy said. “I am excited to help expand the firm’s institutional clientele in today’s low-interest rate environment, where investors are seeking the creative, portfolio diversifying credit solutions that CIFC offers.”

Levy has more than 20 years of experience across portfolio construction, strategy allocation, institutional sales and business development. Prior to joining Aksia, Levy served as VP of commodities sales at Goldman Sachs and VP of foreign exchange and commodities sales at Barclays Capital and Lehman Brothers. She began her career at UBS Investment Bank.

The addition of Levy to CIFC’s investor solutions group follows the firm’s recent hiring of Tatyana Machado as executive director of the investor solutions group. Machado brings investor services, onboarding and sales enablement knowledge to CIFC from her nearly two decades of experience in business development and client service at AQR Capital Management and BlackRock.

“The ongoing expansion of our talented team demonstrates strong momentum following our 15-year anniversary in 2020, as well as our commitment to continuing to deliver best-in-class service and results to clients for years to come,” Vaccaro said.

CIFC Asset Management is a global credit specialist offering investment solutions across CLOs, corporate, structured and opportunistic credit strategies.
