Bruce Mulder joined SMBC Nikko Securities America’s fixed income sales and trading group as a managing director and head of structured products sales. In this role, Mulder will oversee the structured credit products sales team. He will report to Yunson Du, head of fixed income sales and trading and senior deputy president for SMBC Nikko Securities America.

“We are pleased to welcome a talent with extensive experience like Bruce to our team. He has led and managed structured credit sales groups at several leading global financial institutions over the last 20 years,” Bungo Miura, chairperson and president of SMBC Nikko Securities America, said. “Bringing Bruce on board to head our rapidly growing team is yet another important strategic new hire and step as we continue to expand the fixed income sales and trading business and structured products sales team.”

Prior to joining the firm, Mulder was a managing director at Natixis, where he had several roles, including being responsible for managing cross-asset sales teams and growing revenue. Before joining Natixis, he spent four years as director on the credit sales team at Crédit Agricole CIB, where he helped lead and build the sales teams and contributed to developing a new sales and trading platform for credit flow products, resulting in a new vertical of distribution. Prior to that, he worked for six years at Bear Stearns, serving in various structured credit sales and financial analytics roles.
