Suzanne Koenig, CEO and founder of SAK Management Services, was inducted into the International Women’s Insolvency & Restructuring Confederation’s (IWIRC) Women of Restructuring Hall of Fame. Koenig received this prestigious award at IWIRC’s 19th Annual Spring Conference that was held in April 2022 in Washington, D.C.

This year, IWIRC established the “Women of Restructuring Hall of Fame” award in order to recognize deserving women in the restructuring industry that have exceptional accomplishments throughout an entire career. The award may be presented to an attorney, judge, banker, turnaround manager, academic or other restructuring industry professional. Koenig is the very first inductee into IWIRC’s Hall of Fame.

As a direct owner and operator of senior living facilities, Koenig offers the practical perspective of the challenges and opportunities confronting long-term care providers in managing the industry’s changing dynamics. She is a licensed nursing home administrator and a licensed social worker in multiple states and she serves as a receiver, patient care ombudsman, chief restructuring officer, consultant, advisor, operator and third-party manager in healthcare engagements throughout the United States. As owner and operator of SAK Management Services for more than 20 years, Koenig provides a highly specialized combination of skills in the areas of operations improvement, staff development and quality assurance.

“IWIRC is thrilled to honor Suzy Koenig with the inaugural induction into the IWIRC Hall of Fame . . . Suzy Koenig is not only a legend in the healthcare space, but she is also viewed as a leader and mentor in the restructuring industry,” Jennifer Kimble, IWIRC Chair and counsel at Lowenstein Sandler, said. “She is incredibly deserving of induction into the IWIRC Hall of Fame.”

SAK Management Services offers a combination of knowledge and expertise and a commitment to preserving the assets of an organization during bankruptcy or workout. For more information about what we do and how we can help, be sure to visit our sakmgmt.com or call 847-446-8400.
