GoldenTree Asset Management, a global asset management firm with more than $50 billion in assets under management, added Alysia Love as chief talent officer and partner.

Love will focus on GoldenTree’s human capital strategy, including talent acquisition, development, performance coaching and mentorship of GoldenTree employees to position the firm for further growth. Love will be based in New York and will report directly to the executive committee, chaired by Steve Tananbaum, GoldenTree’s founder, managing partner and chief investment officer.

“Alysia has worked closely with GoldenTree for almost 5 years and we are excited to have her join the team full-time as our first chief talent officer,” Tananbaum said. “She will play a pivotal role in cultivating talent and promoting GoldenTree’s culture as she drives talent acquisition and professional development within the firm.”

“Continuing to cultivate our experienced, excellent team at GoldenTree is a top priority for the firm, and we are looking forward to continuing to work with Alysia as she contributes to the firm’s growth by expertly guiding our talent development,” Kathy Sutherland, a partner and GoldenTree’s CEO, said.

“GoldenTree is a special firm, with world-class people across the organization. I have enjoyed working with Steve and the executive committee thus far in building the team at GoldenTree and look forward to joining the firm to bring the best out of its people, and reinforce the firm’s high-performance, collaborative culture,” Love said.

Love joins GoldenTree from Ellery Street where she advised the leadership teams of financial firms on executive and organizational development, assessed key hires for their organizations and supported executives in taking on broader or more complex leadership roles. She previously served as a senior principal at ghSMART, supporting investors and CEOs on key leadership and organizational challenges, including management due diligence and leadership succession. Prior to ghSMART, Love worked as a director on the equity investment team at EARNEST Partners. She also previously held roles at Morgan Stanley and Hewlett Packard.
