Alvarez & Marsal Appoints Reamer as Managing Director in Talent, Organization and People Practice

Alvarez & Marsal (A&M) appointed Houston-based managing director Teal Reamer to its talent organization and people management (TOP) practice within the firm’s corporate performance improvement (CPI) group.

Reamer’s hire reflects CPI’s dedicated talent growth strategy for expanding services into critical geographic markets and industry sectors and builds on Matt Campbell’s recent managing director and TOP national solution leader appointment.

Leveraging more than a decade and a half experience, Reamer specializes in culture and change, organizational operating models, executive team effectiveness and strategy alignment. Working across complex organizations to align leadership teams, she delivers results by quickly identifying key business drivers along with organizational culture and strategic imperatives. She has led complex engagements with Fortune 50 oil and gas companies, leading independent exploration, development and production (E&P) companies, Fortune 500 engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) companies and alternative energy technology organizations.

“Teal has a deep understanding of how CEOs, COOs and chief human resource officers (CHRO) are reshaping workforce strategies to align with their business objectives. Clients are seeking transformations, fueled by a volatile economy and shifting market conditions, to balance their organizations’ workforce and talent resources for sustainable growth,” Campbell said. “Teal’s joining augments our ability to drive talent, organization and people transformations that ensure workforce effectiveness without compromising long-term profitability.”

Prior to joining A&M, Reamer spent 10 years at BTS USA, most recently as a senior vice president, partner and head of BTS central. While at BTS, she worked across multiple sectors including energy, manufacturing and retail as well as non-profit organizations. Previously, she served for two years as a client development manager with BCG’s energy practice.

“My background aligns with A&M’s operational heritage,” Reamer said. “The firm’s integrated global platform enhances our ability to guide clients’ transformation goals alongside maximizing value. A&M’s commitment to human capital advisory reflects the firm’s response to increasing, sector-agnostic demand, for workforces with flexibility, continuity and adaptability. The firm’s “take-action” approach enhances enterprise efficiency and unlocks both the operational and people side of performance improvement to yield positive change.”

Reamer earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from Middlebury College in Vermont, and an MBA from the New York University Stern School of Business.
