First Citizens Bank’s CIT Commercial Services subsidiary named Don Norman as a vice president and senior portfolio and relationship manager in its western region. In his new role, Norman will be responsible for managing a portfolio of clients while consistently supporting the overall growth of commercial services in the western region. Based in Los Angeles, he will report to Michael Rayner, portfolio team leader, under the direction of Darrin Beer, western regional manager.

“We are excited to welcome Don to the CIT Commercial Services team and look forward to leveraging his expertise to contribute to our ongoing growth trajectory,” Beer said. “We’re confident Don’s extensive relationships and deep industry knowledge will be a valuable asset to our organization.”

“With his extensive background and expertise in forging business relationships, I am confident that Don will make a great addition to our team,” Rayner added.

Norman brings more than 25 years of management, sales and lending experience to First Citizens. He most recently served as senior vice president and director of underwriting for White Oak Commercial Finance, where he was responsible for managing a large client portfolio as well as sourcing new business deals. Earlier in his career, Norman was CEO and president of ProNurse, a staffing agency he founded. He has also held various positions with a high level of responsibility at GMAC, Anthem Blue Cross of CA and Heller Financial. He holds a bachelor’s degree and an MBA from Pepperdine University.
