O’Keefe, a financial and strategic advisory firm specializing in corporate finance, litigation support, strategic advisory and turnaround and restructuring, hired Andrew (“AJ”) Austin as an analyst.

Prior to joining O’Keefe, Austin served as a finance and accounting intern at Magna International, an automotive parts manufacturer based in Troy, MI. He is a recent graduate from the Eli Broad College of Business at Michigan State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Finance with honors. Austin resides in Grosse Pointe, Michigan.
O’Keefe also hired Alec Girdler as a senior associate.
Girdler is a seasoned accounting professional across an array of industries, including but not limited to, banks, business and consumers services, manufacturing and distribution. Girdler has extensive experience in purchase price accounting for private equity portfolio companies, advising clients in the implementation of complex accounting standards and assisting clients in designing controls to respond to identified weaknesses in internal controls.

Prior to joining O’Keefe, Girdler served as an assurance senior at Plante Moran, where he gained experience performing financial statement audits under PCAOB and AICPA standards, as well as SOX 404 internal audits. Girdler is a Certified Public Accountant and is a member of the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants. Girdler resides in Royal Oak, Michigan.
