Suhajda to Lead Mackinac Partners’ Business Intelligence Division

Mackinac Partners, a financial advisory and turnaround management firm, has expanded its service capabilities with the introduction of a new Business Intelligence Division. This area of expertise will offer a combination of corporate due diligence, investigative, cyber security and business intelligence services.

Gregory J. Suhajda joined the firm as president of this new division and as a senior managing director of Mackinac Partners. Greg brings more than 20 years of experience within the investigative and international intelligence community.

“Our clients continue to broaden their requirements with an expanded focus in certain areas of their business that requires specialized intelligence services and corporate investigative capabilities,” said Jim Weissenborn, co-founder and managing partner at Mackinac Partners. “This is a natural expansion for our firm adding to our ability to offer our business customers an even greater level of service with the highest levels of experience and competency. We are very fortunate to have someone so uniquely qualified as Greg Suhajda to lead this new division and Mackinac’s global expansion of its Business Intelligence platform.”

Prior to Mackinac Partners, Suhajda was president of Rehmann Corporate Investigative Services, a global risk management and intelligence firm based in Troy, MI. He also was co-founder and served as president and CEO of Veritas Global, a business intelligence and corporate investigative firm that was acquired by The Rehmann Group in 2010.

Suhajda also previously served with distinction as a special agent with both the United States Secret Service and the FBI. While with the Secret Service, Suhajda was chosen as a member of President Clinton’s Presidential Protective Detail. He also completed the rigorous training required to be a member of the elite Counter Assault Team (CAT), receiving extensive training from the U.S. Military’s Special Forces Delta and Navy SEAL units.

While at the FBI, Suhajda was a team member of the Joint Terrorism Task Force (JTTF), serving as a Mid-East Intelligence Specialist. He was then appointed to the position of FBI Terrorism Coordinator just prior to the September 11, 2001 attacks on the United States. Suhajda has testified in federal and local courts as well as before Federal Grand Juries. He also has developed and maintains an extensive network of vetted relationships throughout the United States, Europe, Latin America, the Middle East and the Caribbean.
