Rexford Industrial Realty announced that Peter Schwab has been elected as an independent director to the company’s board of directors. Schwab, a 39-year veteran of the lending industry, retired in 2011 as chairman and CEO of Wells Fargo Capital Finance.

“I am extremely pleased to welcome Peter to our Board. Peter brings a wealth of experience to Rexford Industrial, particularly with respect to financing and corporate management, and complements the significant expertise and experience of our current board members,” said Richard S. Ziman, chairman of Rexford Industrial.

Schwab was formerly a member of Wells Fargo Bank’s Management Committee. He served in various senior roles with Wells Fargo Capital Finance and predecessor entities (including Foothill Capital) during his 28-year tenure with the organization.

Schwab currently serves on the board of directors of TCP Capital, a public registered investment company, as well as the boards of several private companies and educational, health, arts and industry not-for-profit organizations.

Rexford Industrial is a real estate investment trust focused on owning and operating industrial properties in Southern California in-fill markets.
