KPMG Corporate Finance announced that Director Joseph Schneider was named a winner of The M&A Advisor’s “40 Under 40 Recognition Awards” in the Dealmaker category.

Schneider was selected from a pool of international nominees for his accomplishments and knowledge, and was recognized on June 24 at The M&A Advisor’s Awards Gala in Manhattan.

“Joe’s commitment to his clients, team, and work outside our organization model the qualities we encourage and value, and I am proud that he has been recognized for his successes,” said Phil Isom, head of KPMG Corporate Finance. “Joe is a leading example of KPMG’s distinguished professionals and he is deserving of this award.”

Based in Chicago, Schneider has advised numerous clients in the insurance and broader financial services space on multiple M&A and strategic issues. He has served as a buy- and sell-side advisor, worked on fairness opinions, and raised capital for small, privately held businesses, mid-market organizations, and large, publicly-traded companies.

Prior to joining KPMG, Schneider spent several years working for U.S. and internationally based non-profits. He is bilingual in Spanish, and holds a B.B. degree in finance and Spanish from the University of Notre Dame and an M.B.A. from ESADE Business School in Barcelona, Spain. He serves as a mentor within the firm and is an M.B.A. course instructor at Dominican University.

“I am honored to have been chosen for this award,” said Schneider. “I give credit for much of what I have achieved to the colleagues on my team, mentors and the professional opportunities offered by KPMG.”
