GE Capital, Corporate Retail Finance announced it is providing financing to C&K Markets, an independent regional supermarket chain. The funding will be used to support the company’s operations and expected growth as it implements a new customer experience strategy.

“As we work to provide an improved experience and expanded food selection for our customers, we need to be working with a lender that really understands our business”

Headquartered in Brookings, OR, C&K Markets operates more than 40 grocery stores throughout Oregon and Northern California under the brands of Ray’s Food Place, Shop Smart and C&K Market. The company has new leadership, and is focused on enhancing its selection of locally sourced and organic grocery items, meats and produce.

“As we work to provide an improved experience and expanded food selection for our customers, we need to be working with a lender that really understands our business,” said Karl Wissman, president of C&K Markets. “We are grateful for GE Capital’s expertise during this very important stage in our development.”

“We look forward to working with C&K Markets as they implement an exciting new business plan,” said Rob McMahon, senior managing director at GE Capital, Corporate Retail Finance. “Our capabilities go beyond finance to provide our customers with insights and expertise that help them grow.”
