Kohrman Jackson & Krantz (KJK) announced the passing of its managing partner, Marc C. Krantz who was involved in a fatal skiing accident at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort on December 28, 2014.

Krantz had served as managing partner of KJK since 1999. The firm’s executive committee has named Kevin T. O’Connor as interim managing partner.

Krantz was an accomplished securities, commercial finance and corporate lawyer. His public and privately held clients regarded him as a trusted advisor on transactions big and small, from capitalization of start-up companies to the restructuring and recapitalization of established businesses. He shepherded his clients through the most complex mergers and acquisitions, often handling several transactions at the same time.

“We have lost a true friend and leader,” said Kevin T. O’Connor, interim managing partner. “Marc served his clients and this firm with passion and compassion and leaves behind a strong and vibrant firm ready to carry forward into the future. He will be dearly missed by us all.”
