Clark Hill Adds to Corporate Restructuring & Bankruptcy Practice

Attorney Sherry Lowe Johnson joined Clark Hill Chicago as a member of the Litigation and Corporate Restructuring & Bankruptcy Practice Groups.

Johnson has more than 20 years of experience in representing financial institutions, equipment leasing companies and corporations in commercial matters in state, federal and bankruptcy courts. She specializes in complex litigation, including lender liability claims, fraud claims, programmatic failures, factoring agreements and commercial contract disputes.

“We are pleased to announce Sherry has joined our Chicago team,” said Ray J. Koenig III, leader of Clark Hill’s Chicago office. “Sherry is a talented lawyer, and her commitment to client service and representation is second to none.”

She handles all aspects of bankruptcy from the creditor’s perspective, including Chapter 11 plan treatment of creditors’ claims, lien priority and competing secured creditors’ issues, fraudulent and preference transfers and avoidance claims, critical vendor claims, and liquidation processes. Johnson also strategizes with clients to achieve profitable results in workout and debt restructuring transactions when amicable resolutions are viable options to turnaround credit relationships.
