Randal R. Greene, president and chief executive officer of Bay Banks of Virginia, holding company of Bank of Lancaster and Bay Trust Company, announced that Bank of Lancaster hired John Powell as senior vice president, Commercial Banking relationship manager.

In this role, Powell will report directly to F. Arnold Blackmon III, president of the Richmond region, and will serve as a member of Bank of Lancaster’s Richmond executive leadership team. Powell’s responsibility will be developing commercial banking relationships in the Richmond region by helping businesses achieve their financial aspirations.

Powell joins Bank of Lancaster with more than 20 years of banking experience. Specializing in commercial and industrial lending, he has been serving the Richmond market for over 13 years. Powell most recently served as Business banker with Union First Market.
