B. Riley, a full-service investment bank and wholly-owned subsidiary of B. Riley Financial added John Calcagnini and Keith M. Sipes to the Investment Banking team as managing directors.

John Calcagnini will focus on Healthcare, Pharmaceuticals, Life Sciences and Medical Devices, while Keith Sipes will concentrate on the Technology, Media and Telecom (TMT) sectors.

Calcagnini brings 25 years of experience in healthcare and life sciences investment banking. He has advised on more than $10 billion in financings and M&A advisory assignments for small and middle market life sciences companies. Most recently, Calcagnini built and led the healthcare investment banking practice as a managing director at Sterne Agee CRT and previously led the medical device investment banking practice at CIBC World Markets/Oppenheimer where his group was one of the top equity underwriters in the healthcare sector.

Sipes brings 17 years of experience originating and executing strategic advisory and corporate financial services for a broad range of technology, media and telecom companies. Sipes was managing director at Sterne Agee in his most recent role, and has also worked for Duff & Phelps, Stifel Financial, Merrill Lynch and Lazard Frères. He has represented more than $75 billion in advisory and $20 billion in corporate finance assignments.
