Timothy J. Shilling joined B. Riley Financial as executive vice president of B. Riley Retail Solutions. In this role, Shilling will work in close partnership with the executive leadership team to execute the firm’s strategy and growth across the retail sector.

B. Riley Financial agreed to acquire FocalPoint Securities, an independent investment bank based in Los Angeles, for total consideration of up to $175 million.
B. Riley Financial expanded its forensic accounting and litigation support practice with the addition of Wayne Wilson, Mike De Laval, Paul Brooks and Meredith Alfred to B. Riley Advisory Services.
B. Riley Financial established a receivables business to provide debt monetization solutions and portfolio acquisition services for its clients. In connection with the formation of this new division, B. Riley Financial also purchased a portfolio of performing credit receivables from W.S. Badcock.
B. Riley Financial expanded its corporate advisory and valuation services practice with the addition of Dave Bookbinder and Quinn Shearer to B. Riley Advisory Services.
B. Riley Financial expanded its restructuring division with the addition of three new senior executives, as John Sordillo, Jeffrey Truitt and Tim Hannon joined B. Riley Advisory Services, bringing decades of experience and expertise in complex financial management and restructuring advisory.
Tim Sullivan joined B. Riley Financial as head of fixed income with B. Riley Securities. Andy Moore, CEO of B. Riley Securities, will be leading the expansion of the firm’s fixed income division in coordination with Sullivan.
B. Riley Financial won multiple awards at the 13th Annual Turnaround Atlas Awards, hosted by Global M&A Network on June 24 and June 25. In addition, Alicia Masse of B. Riley Advisory Services was named one of Global M&A Network’s Top USA Women Dealmakers of the Year.
