WSFS Bank, the primary subsidiary of WSFS Financial, promoted Terry Kistler to senior vice president, regional manager of the southern Delaware region, reporting to Shelly Kavanagh, senior vice president and director of retail delivery.

As regional manager, Kistler will oversee 13 banking offices located in southern Delaware. He will focus on developing business opportunities within the region, as well as overseeing the operation and sales of the banking offices. Kistler will emphasize coaching and training, some of his passions and key to building a strong team.

“I’m excited for the impact Terry will make for our Delaware customers and with his mentorship of our associates. Having spent over a decade in Delaware banking, Terry thoroughly understands the needs of the region,” Kavanagh said. “He is a wonderful success story of WSFS’ investment in our associate development. We could not get talent with this level of local expertise anywhere else.”

This promotion continues Kistler’s nearly 14-year career with WSFS Bank since starting in the Lewes banking office as a personal banker. Kistler has held many roles of increasing responsibility including assistant branch manager, branch manager, and southern Delaware relationship manager. His growth through these roles helped prepare him for this new role.

“I look forward to working with my fellow associates to grow the Southern Delaware Region and continue to show our current and future customers why WSFS Bank is the right partner for them and their businesses,” Kistler said.

Kistler is a graduate of Titusville Senior High School, and his management and customer service experience comes from several years in hospitality before making the shift to the financial industry. Kistler resides in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, and is deeply ingrained in the local community through volunteer work independently and with Team WSFS. He has served on various boards and volunteers with several local nonprofits. Currently, Kistler sits on the Rehoboth Main Street board, where he is chair of the promotions committee. He previously served on the board of the Rehoboth Beach Film Society and the Rehoboth Beach Bears.
