Womble Bond Dickinson Adds Government Contracts Partner in Huntsville

byBrianna Wilson

in People

Womble Bond Dickinson hired Jon Levin within the firm’s Huntsville, Alabama office as a partner in the corporate and securities group. Levin has practiced government contracts law for over two decades. He has successfully represented clients in hundreds of bid protests at the Court of Federal Claims and Government Accountability Office, appeals before the Federal Circuit and on size and status matters before the Small Business Administration.

Levin routinely assists clients in negotiating and investigating issues in connection with cost contracting, intellectual property, procurement integrity and the use of classified material. He has experience in international trade law and helps clients navigate the byzantine world of exports and imports, including compliance and classifying goods and services purchased and sold overseas.

“Jon is well known and well respected in the government contracts sector and Huntsville legal and business communities,” Josh Mullen, managing partner of the firm’s Huntsville and Nashville offices, said. “His decades of experience in bid protests, federal contract compliance and related matters will be valuable to our clients operating in this sector and our government contracts bench as we continue to add meaningful depth to this practice.”

Since establishing the Huntsville office in September 2022, Chris Lockwood and Rich Raleigh have been joined by global trade partner David Vance Lucas and government contracts attorneys Virginia Gibson, Dan Joyner and Andrew Tuggle. During that time, the practice welcomed partners Robert “Al” Broadbent and Cherylyn Harley LeBon in the firm’s Charlottesville, Virginia and Washington, D.C., offices, respectively.

Levin received his J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law and B.A. from Vanderbilt University. He joins Womble from Maynard Nexsen, where he led that firm’s administrative practice.
