Silicon Valley Bank has hired Emily Barron, Brian Foley and Folake Shasanya to lead warehouse lending across the U.S. and EMEA.

“SVB continues to evolve its suite of lending products to support the unique needs of innovative companies as they scale,” said Nick Christian, head of specialty finance at Silicon Valley Bank. “I am proud to welcome Emily, Brian and Folake to SVB to focus on warehouse lending. This offering provides a flexible credit solution to our innovative clients and facilitates their growth.”

Barron is a managing director based in SVB’s San Francisco office and was previously head of finance for Branch International, a Silicon Valley-based mobile financial services startup focused on emerging markets. She has also held senior finance roles at SoFi and Barclays Capital.

Foley joined SVB as a managing director in New York and most recently was a managing director at the Macquarie Group, a global financial group that provides asset management, banking, advisory and risk and capital solutions across debt, equity and commodities. He was also a senior member of the structured portfolios group at Bank of America.

Shasanya is a director in SVB’s UK Branch and joined the company in July 2019. Folake has more than 15 years of experience specializing in structured finance, and previously led acquisition financing at RBS. She was also director of the credit division at SIFMA and was a senior structurer in the asset-backed financing group at Credit Suisse.

SVB’s specialty finance group provides revolving lines of credit and term loans to companies and funds active in the consumer and enterprise sectors. The specialty finance team has deep, proven expertise providing creative credit solutions in the $10 to $100 million range.
