Santander Holdings USA named Ashwani Aggarwal chief risk officer. Aggarwal, who will report to Tim Wennes, CEO of Santander Holdings USA, joined Santander in 2019 and most recently served as head of risk analytics and chief model risk officer.
In his new role, Aggarwal will oversee and provide strategic direction for the risk management and compliance programs at Santander Holdings USA and Santander U.S. businesses.
Ashwani has nearly 20 years of risk management experience. Prior to joining Santander, he was the managing director and chief operating officer of model risk governance and review at JPMorgan Chase. He also held leadership positions in the risk organizations at GE Capital and Standard & Poor’s.
