Hildred Capital Management, a healthcare-focused private equity firm that seeks opportunities to create value in middle-market companies, appointed Ben Samit as a managing director.
“Ben has been a valuable part of our investment team and has played important roles helping to research and evaluate new opportunities within pharma services,” Andrew Goldman and David Solomon, co-founders and managing partners at Hildred, said. “During his tenure at Hildred, Ben has also been intimately involved in several of our portfolio companies, including Carlin Consumer Health, Crown Laboratories, Indentifeye Health and DermCare Management, and has continually demonstrated a unique ability to support their respective growth trajectories. We greatly appreciate his contributions to the firm.”
Prior to joining Hildred, Samit was a vice president at PennantPark Investment Advisers, where he originated, structured and managed private debt and equity investments in middle market companies with a focus on the healthcare industry. Before PennantPark, Samit worked as an investment banker at SunTrust Robinson Humphrey, where he advised private equity and corporate clients on M&A and corporate financings, including leveraged buyouts and equity offerings.
