With over two decades of experience in commercial finance, Brian Rosa has made a lasting impact on the industry. As President of Commercial Finance at Mitsubishi HC Capital America, Rosa brings strategic insight, operational expertise and an unwavering commitment to empowering teams and clients.
Rosa’s career spans many leadership roles, including Managing Director at Mitsubishi HC Capital (U.S.A.) Inc. and Senior Vice President at Mitsubishi UFJ Lease & Finance (U.S.A.) Inc. Earlier positions at Macquarie Group and Time Warner shaped his broad financial and managerial perspective. In each role, Rosa has driven growth through structured leasing, asset-based lending and corporate finance innovation.
In 2016, Rosa and a small team built an asset finance group from scratch. That venture eventually became part of Mitsubishi HC Capital America, now a major North American platform with over 800 professionals. He continues to guide its evolution from a traditional lender to a full-spectrum capital solutions provider.
What sets Rosa apart is his people-first approach. He is a strong advocate for empowering talent across the organization. He emphasizes the urgency of developing new business while maintaining portfolio integrity, fostering a “we’re all in this together” mindset. He believes that challenges should unite; rather than pointing fingers, we need to ask how to best support each other. The focus should always be on finding solutions, shared success and the excitement of working on creative new transactions. A leader who stops learning becomes stuck in their own perspective, missing opportunities for growth, he says. Staying open to new ideas, even those that challenge his thinking, has been essential in driving success.
Looking ahead, Rosa is focused on innovation. He’s exploring the integration of AI and other technologies into operations to enhance efficiency and unlock strategic capacity. He also sees unique potential in the middle market, where his team’s agility offers a competitive edge in a tightening credit landscape.
Rosa’s career is defined by transformation — of businesses, strategies and people.
