PlainsCapital Bank promoted Sean Mills to president of its Westlake, TX, banking group, Wade Morgan to executive vice president and Michael Ramirez to senior vice president of its downtown Austin, TX, lending group.

Mills will continue leading the Westlake banking team, focusing on expanding the team’s market presence by developing and pursuing current and new commercial banking relationships. PlainsCapital’s long-time Westlake leader, John Levy, will continue to serve as president emeritus. Morgan will provide commercial lending and banking services to operating companies and investor real estate projects in the area. Ramirez will focus on managing loan and deposit portfolios and building relationships with the bank’s commercial lending clientele.

“Sean, Michael and Wade’s broad understanding of the banking industry and long-running loyalty to PlainsCapital Bank qualify them to continue leading our lending and banking efforts in Austin,” Paul Holubec, Austin region chairman of PlainsCapital Bank, said. “With their combined years of leadership and success in the Austin market, PlainsCapital Bank is well positioned to continue growing as one of the top-rated commercial banks in the area.”

Mills has more than 17 years of experience in the banking and financial services industry, all of which have been with PlainsCapital Bank. He joined PlainsCapital in 2002 after graduating from the University of Texas.

“I’m proud of my time at PlainsCapital Bank and I’m honored to serve as Westlake president,” Mills said. “I look forward to continuing the stewardship of our great customers and team while fostering relationships and business opportunities within our community.”

Morgan has been with PlainsCapital Bank for 12 years and has a total of 24 years of experience in commercial banking.

“It’s great to be part of a team that delivers excellence every step of the way. I look forward to strengthening PlainsCapital Bank’s reputation for building meaningful relationships and consistently providing innovative lending solutions that meet our clients’ ever-changing needs,” Morgan said.

Ramirez joined PlainsCapital Bank in 2009 after graduating from the University of Notre Dame. He has held various roles within PlainsCapital’s Austin lending group, including vice president and assistant vice president.

“I’m excited to continue building long-lasting relationships with the people of Austin and providing the commercial real estate lending expertise and tools they need to achieve success,” Ramirez said. “PlainsCapital Bank has helped me demonstrate that when you take great care of your clients, the rest takes care of itself.”

PlainsCapital Bank is a Texas-headquartered bank that operates 62 branches and offers commercial lending, treasury management, small business banking, private banking, and trust and wealth management services.
