FTI Consulting appointed William Brydges managing director in the technology transformation offering within the firm’s corporate finance and restructuring segment. The appointment will further bolster FTI’s capabilities in IT transformation and modernization activities throughout the business lifecycle.

Based in McLean, VA, Brydges specializes in enterprise business applications, IT strategy and organization, and infrastructure, including cloud and on-premise solutions. His 30-year career spans industries in both commercial and federal markets.

“FTI Consulting believes technology delivered effectively is a critical enabler of any well-run business,” Bruce Benson, leader of the technology transformation practice at FTI Consulting, said. “Bill’s experience in cloud migration and cloud-native architecture, as both a consultant and an in-house technology leader, will help our clients as they seek to remain technically agile cost-effectively.”

Brydges has worked with clients to understand and improve their technology capabilities, increase efficiency and scalability, reduce IT risk and enable transformation of critical business processes and capabilities to support organizational objectives. He has experience in acquisition, integration and business transformation efforts, as well as divestiture/carve-out activities.

Prior to FTI Consulting, Brydges served as chief information officer and chief technology officer for a defense contractor, where he was responsible for infrastructure transformation and data center migration, the movement of the company’s corporate headquarters into a new facility and improvement of business application capabilities to support offerings in a highly regulated environment. Brydges was responsible for both internal IT capabilities and the overall delivery of the company’s services to the federal sector.

“Technology touches upon every aspect of the modern business,” Brydges said. “In today’s environment, technology is proving especially critical as an enabler of business performance. Choosing the right platforms and building secure and flexible infrastructure to deploy them rapidly is particularly critical. I look forward to working with the team at FTI Consulting to help clients transform their operations and drive growth.”

FTI Consulting is a global business advisory firm.
