Jeffrey Bowman joined Foley & Lardner’s Salt Lake City office as a partner in the transactions practice group and innovative technology sector, further expanding Foley’s presence in the city’s startup environment.

Bowman has experience representing emerging growth companies, entrepreneurs and investors, primarily in the areas of corporate, securities and M&A. His representation of companies spans the entire corporate life cycle, from formation to exit, including pre-incorporation business advice, general corporate counseling, financings, technology transactions, mergers and acquisitions and other day-to-day business matters relevant to growing companies.

“Jeff brings an established track record of repeated success in the transactional and emerging technology fields,” Michael Okaty, co-chair of the transactions practice group at Foley, said. “His reputation and skill set will make him a strong contributor and valuable asset to our clients as we continue growing our corporate practice in Salt Lake City.”

Bowman works with companies of all sizes, ranging from single founders to companies valued in excess of $1 billion in a range of industries, including software-as-a-service, financial technology, biotechnology, life sciences, digital health, Web 3.0, marketing and sales tech, education technology, e-commerce, consumer products, and financial and other professional services. He also represents venture capital firms, private equity firms and angel investors investing in emerging companies.

“Salt Lake City is a significant market for our clients and the firm. Jeff’s extensive transactional experience, combined with his strong Utah roots, is the ideal fit as we continue to focus on growing our presence in the region,” David Wright, managing partner of the Salt Lake City office at Foley, said. “We are thrilled to welcome him to the team.”

“I see compelling synergies between my practice and Foley’s national, sector-driven platform,” Bowman said. “The firm’s rapidly growing transactional practice, global reach and strength advising emerging growth companies, venture capital funds and private equity funds made this move very appealing. I’m pleased to join such a stellar team and look forward to continuing to expand on the firm’s national transactions practice.”
