First Financial Bankshares elected John Ruzicka executive vice president and chief information officer. Ruzicka was also elected chairman, president and CEO of First Technology Services, the technology subsidiary of First Financial.

Ruzicka most recently served as senior vice president of Heartland Financial in Dubuque, IA, and was the chief information and operations officer for eight years at Citywide Banks in Denver, prior to its acquisition by Heartland. He also served as president of Interbank 1 in Colorado Springs, CO, and as an advisory board member for CenturyLink.
