Wells Fargo Securities announced Darin Deschamps and Sandra Taube Godard have been named co-heads of Wells Fargo Securities Canada.

Deschamps, who was recently hired, and Taube Godard, who joined in 2013, are based in Toronto and will be responsible for partnering across Wells Fargo to deliver the full breadth of Wells Fargo Securities capabilities to clients. Deschamps will also serve as head of Investment Banking and Capital Markets (part of Wells Fargo Securities) in Canada.

Deschamps has more than 25 years of experience in investment banking, most recently serving as deputy head of Investment Banking and head of the Financial Institutions Group and Financial Sponsors Coverage for National Bank Financial Inc. Prior to that, he worked at TD Securities and Credit Suisse.

Taube Godard joined Wells Fargo Securities Canada in 2013 to manage and build strategic relationships with top Canadian institutional clients and to better facilitate their access to the breadth of financial solutions on the Wells Fargo Securities platform. She has more than 25 years of experience in the Canadian investment banking industry, previously serving as a managing director for Barclays Canada responsible for global relationships with Canadian investors and institutional clients across asset classes. Prior to that, she was managing director and head of derivative and fixed income sales for HSBC Canada.

“Wells Fargo has long standing relationships with clients who are active in Canada and a growing list of important Canadian clients,” stated Jonathan Weiss, head of Wells Fargo Securities. “Under Darin’s and Sandra’s expertise and guidance, we are now well poised to continue the expansion of our capital market and advisory capabilities and more fully assist both Canadian and U.S. clients in accessing strategic and financing opportunities.”
