Mary Katherine DuBose was appointed head of debt capital markets for Wells Fargo Securities effective immediately. In this newly created role, she will lead teams responsible for high-grade debt, high-yield debt and loan syndications, originations and executions. She will remain in Charlotte, NC, reporting to Walter Dolhare and Rob Engel, co-heads of Wells Fargo Securities.
“Mary Katherine has more than 20 years of investment banking experience as well as a deep understanding of our corporate and institutional clients’ needs,” Engel said. “Walter and I are extremely confident in Mary Katherine’s abilities to lead our accomplished Debt Capital Markets platform, which has consistently ranked in the top five on U.S. league tables for high-yield, high-grade and leveraged loan transactions.”
Alongside Chris Pink, DuBose previously was co-head of Asset-Backed Finance & Securitization, a part of Wells Fargo Securities and Commercial Capital, leading banking, risk management and oversight of a loan and security portfolio. Pink will remain head of the business. Under their leadership, the team recently earned fourth-largest global structured finance bookrunner for the first half of 2017, up from 10th place in 2011.
DuBose held prior leadership roles at Wells Fargo in corporate debt finance, subscription finance and corporate net lease.
“Mary Katherine is an example of the deep pool of talent we have across Wells Fargo Securities and across the bank,” Dolhare said. “That wealth of knowledge is what will best position our Debt Capital Markets platform to best serve our clients’ needs.”
