Webster Promotes Motl to EVP, Commercial Banking


Webster Bank promoted Christopher Motl, executive vice president, Middle Market Banking to executive vice president, head of Commercial Banking.

Motl will lead all Commercial Banking business units: Sponsor & Specialty Finance; Middle Market Banking; Commercial Real Estate; Webster Business Credit; Webster Capital Finance and Treasury & Payment Solutions/Government & Institutional Banking.

Motl will become a member of the executive management committee. He was also promoted to executive vice president of Webster Financial.

Motl joined Webster in 2004. Before his 2015 promotion to executive vice president, Motl was senior vice president and director of Middle Market Segment Banking. Before joining Webster, Motl worked at CoBank, where he was vice president and relationship manager.
