Webster Bank promoted five bankers who have demonstrated proven results to senior vice president.

Frank Castagna, credit executive in the Chief Risk Officer Group, joined Webster in 1998 as a senior underwriter and has 27 years of experience in banking. In his new position, he manages the underwriting process for the Business Banking group and manages a team of 10.

Karen Giusto, manager of underwriting and processing in the Community Bank, joined Webster in 1996 and has more than 30 years of experience in mortgage banking. In this new position, she is responsible for managing the credit and operational functions of the residential and correspondent lending channels.

Heidi Otton, secondary markets in the Community Bank, joined Webster in 2002 as a trading analyst and over the next 14 years was promoted to several positions with increased responsibility. In her new role, she is responsible for pricing all first mortgage loans, managing the interest rate risk on loans sold and the pooling and sale of mortgage loans

Gabe Rinaldi, project management in the CIO Group, joined Webster in 2010 and has accepted several roles of increased responsibility.

Eric Unger, physical environments in the CIO Group, joined Webster as a senior project manager in 2010 but has served as a consultant for Webster’s expansion in New York, Rhode Island, Massachusetts and Connecticut since 2001. Most recently, he managed HSA Bank’s Milwaukee expansion and the Boston expansion. His new responsibilities include all aspects of Webster’s physical environment.
