U.S. Bank named veteran banker Steven Bennett as its Columbus market president. Bennett will lead the market in company-wide efforts and activities and will direct commercial banking in the greater Columbus area.

Bennett has more than 24 years of banking experience in Ohio and joins U.S. Bank from BBVA Compass, where he most recently served as market president responsible for strategy of middle market, large corporate and healthcare relationships in Ohio and several other states. Previous to this he spent 16 years at Huntington Bank with responsibilities that included commercial relationship manager, business banking team leader, treasury management team leader and government banking director.

U.S. Bank employs more than 380 people in Columbus and has more than 46 branches in the market.
