Gregory Hutton was appointed as Rabobank’s new regional head of Project Finance, Americas, based in New York. Hutton replaces Thomas Emmons, who is leaving to pursue other opportunities.

Hutton has been a senior member of Rabobank’s New York Project Finance team since 2012 where he has played an integral role in building the Project Finance business, negotiating, managing and closing key deals for the bank.

“We are very pleased to appoint Gregory to this lead role. The fact that we are promoting from within showcases the strength of our team and the dedication we have to this thriving part of our business,” said Twan Geurts, Rabobank’s global head of Export & Project Finance.

The New York team, founded in 2009 by Emmons as part of Rabobank’s global Project Finance business, has grown to 12 professionals and $2.5 billion in assets.

Prior to joining Rabobank, Hutton was a senior energy and project finance banker at several institutions, including UniCredit Bank AG, HSH Nordbank AG and Dexia Credit Local.

“We look forward to maintaining the strong momentum and market presence we have built in the Americas, and I know this team, under Gregory’s leadership, will continue to grow the Project Finance business while enhancing Rabobank’s leadership in this critical field,” said Rajiv Singh, CEO of Rabobank North America Wholesale.
