Alaska-based Northrim BanCorp hired Michael Huston to serve as executive vice president and chief lending officer of Northrim Bank.

Huston was formerly with First Interstate BancSystem, headquartered in Billings, MT, rising to the level of executive vice president and chief banking officer after serving as regional president in Wyoming. He also served as a commercial loan manager earlier in his career.

“Mike brings a wealth of experience in banking to Northrim and has strong management and leadership skills,” said Joe Schierhorn, president and CEO of Northrim Bank. “We continue to attract new talented bankers to our team as we grow our Alaska franchise.”

Northrim BanCorp is the parent company of Northrim Bank, an Alaska-based community bank with 14 branches, an asset-based lending division in Washington and a wholly-owned mortgage brokerage company.
