Guggenheim Expands Leveraged Finance Business with New Hire


Carl Mayer joined Guggenheim Securities, the investment banking and capital markets division of Guggenheim Partners, as a senior managing director. Mayer will focus on the origination, structuring and distribution of leveraged loans and high yield bonds.

With more than 20 years of experience in leveraged finance, Mayer joins Guggenheim from Nomura, where he served as head of both Acquisition & Leveraged Finance and the Financial Sponsors Group in the Americas. Before Nomura, he was a managing director and head of Leveraged Finance Capital Markets at Merrill Lynch. Before joining the team at Merrill Lynch, Mayer was a managing director in High Yield Capital Markets at Deutsche Bank.
