Alvarez & Marsal expanded its Financial Industry Advisory Services capabilities with the addition of Stuart Greenberg, who brings more than 40 years of experience in commercial lending as a commercial banker and as an expert testifying in more than 100 lender liability law suits. He joins as a senior advisor in New York.

Greenberg’s breadth of commercial lending experience spans international lending, corporate lending, financial institutions lending, middle market commercial lending and commercial real estate lending. He is an expert in loan portfolio management, lending policy management, compliance with commercial lending industry standards, compliance with federal bank regulatory requirements and director responsibilities as they relate to regulatory requirements.

Greenberg has held numerous positions in banking, including handling officer, manager of a corporate lending division, senior loan committee member, designated senior credit officer and manager of a loan workout department. In 1986, he established his own consulting company as a private banker, assisting borrowers in managing their lending relationships with financial institutions and helping restructure loans with existing or alternative lenders. He began serving as an expert witness in 1991 and has since been involved in more than 100 cases in federal, various state courts, and federal bankruptcy court.
