Alvarez & Marsal has expanded its North American Commercial Restructuring team with the addition of Mark Greenberg, who joins the firm’s Unsecured Creditors’ Committee practice as a managing director.

For more than 15 years, Greenberg has provided financial advisory services to debtors, creditors and equity holders in both bankruptcy and out-of-court restructurings within industries such as energy, shipping, manufacturing and retail. As a bankruptcy restructuring expert, he has developed and implemented strategies to maximize creditor recoveries and has led business plan analyses, cash flow forecasts, financial statement reviews and cash management system evaluations.

“Mark’s experience advising creditors and his expertise in representing their interests to maximize their recoveries furthers our ability to help clients during this time of change in Chapter 11 process and approach,” said Jeff Stegenga, managing director at A&M and leader of the firm’s North American Commercial Restructuring.

Prior to joining A&M, Greenberg was a managing director in FTI Consulting’s Creditors’ Rights practice. He’s also held positions at Marotta, Gund, Budd & Dzera, Neuberger Berman and Ernst & Young.
