Crédit Agricole has appointed Gene K. Kim as Head of International for the Global Markets Division. He will also head Global Markets activities in the Americas.

Based in New York, Gene reports globally to Isabelle Girolami, head of Global Markets and locally to Marc-André Poirier, head of the Americas Region. He will be a member of the Global Markets Division Executive Committee (GMD Comex) as well as a member of Crédit Agricole CIB Americas Management Committee.

This new role of head of International for the Global Markets Division has been created to oversee the management of Global Markets business in the Americas, Asia and the Middle East.

Before joining Crédit Agricole, Kim was regional head of Financial Markets business in Greater China and North Asia for Standard Chartered Bank, in charge of asset and liability management, capital markets business, sales and trading of foreign exchange, fixed income, credit and commodities products. He was a member of the Financial Markets Management Team and the Group Diversity and Inclusion Forum of Standard Chartered Bank.

While in Hong Kong, he served as chairman of the board at the Asia Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association. He also was on the executive board at Treasury Markets Association and on the board of OTC Clearing HK.
