Citizens Bank announced Lan K. Haverfield was hired as a director of originations in Business Capital for Citizens Commercial Banking.

Most recently, Haverfield was a managing director for SunTrust in Dallas. Previously, he served as a principal at Lauriat Capital, an executive VP at CITBusiness Capital and an officer at Barclays Business Credit. Early in his career, he worked at Placid Oil Company and Conoco.

Haverfield has served on the Advisory Board of the Southwest Chapter of the Commercial Finance Association and is a former member of the Turnaround Management Association, Association of Corporate Growth, Commercial Finance Association, American Bankruptcy Institute, Association of Insolvency & Restructuring Advisors. He was co-chair of the 20th National Association of Insolvency & Restructuring Advisors (AIRA) Conference. He also coaches high-achieving children in “Destination Imagination,” a worldwide competition in schools.
