Crestmark, the commercial finance division of MetaBank, added Warren Powell as a business development officer for its working capital business unit. Powell will be responsible for promotion of the company’s asset-based lending offerings. Based in North Carolina, he will report to Mark Collins, group eastern sales manager.
Powell has more than 20 years of alternative lending experience, having held several senior level business development positions across the industry. Most recently, he served as senior vice president of business development with SLR Business Credit/Summit Financial Resources, where he built relationships with financial entities, business owners and stakeholders, providing solutions to specific funding needs. Prior to SLR, he served as Southeast sales director with Prestige Capital, vice president of sales for North Carolina and Virginia with Magnolia Financial and business development manager in North Carolina with Private Business.
“Warren has a great understanding of the demands put to businesses and the requirements in creating financial solutions specific to each customer’s unique situation,” Collins said. “He’s a valuable addition to our dynamic team as we continue to focus on supporting clients as they navigate today’s marketplace.”
