TD Bank has named Cynthia Mayer as vice president, senior commercial loan officer in Charleston, SC. The company also hired William B. Quantz as vice president, senior relationship manager in Charleston.

First Growth Capital announced the hiring of Jeffrey T. Reynolds as vice president in the Chicago and surrounding Midwest region. Previously, he worked with Franklin Capital Network, Silicon Valley Bank, Oxford Capital and Bank One.

HSBC North America Holdings announced the appointment of Stephen Bottomley as a senior executive vice president and head of Commercial Banking for North America. Prior to his new role, Bottomley served as HSBC’s head of Strategy and Planning for the Middle East and North Africa region.

Capital One Bank appointed Larry Cannariato as vice president of Capital One Leverage Finance in the Southwest region. Previously, he served as a credit specialist for Farm Credit Administration and held positions at Wells Fargo, JPMorgan, BofA Business Credit and GE Capital.

TAB Bank said it added Mark J. Simshauser to the Business Development team as vice president and business development officer based in Long Island, NY. He previously was with Webster Business Credit and HSBC Business Credit.

Wells Fargo said the independent directors of its board appointed Stephen W. Sanger as lead director effective January 1, 2012. Sanger, who has served as a director since 2003, succeeds Philip J. Quigley, who served as the lead director since January 2009 and continues to serve as a director on Wells Fargo’s board.
